It's a hollow point, but that opening only exists because the core was poured into the jacket while it was molten to ensure superior uniformity. The MatchKing is not a hunting bullet and will not expand significantly in soft tissue. Its uniform core isn't the MatchKing's only accuracy-enhancing feature. Its extraordinarily concentric jacket, long and perfectly angled boat tail, and very small meplat all give the MatchKing greater stability and lower drag while it's following a flat trajectory toward its goal.
